I can't believe no one has this interpretation but I think the song is very autobiographical, mostly from Daniel Hunt's POV, who writes most of the music/lyrics and who you can hear singing in the background on this track. The song is about becoming a successful band, touring the world and traveling across the international dateline and considering going out on top. |

These lines:
You understand / That's the reason why you're easy to hide / My heart says yes But I was sedated / Signing off / Checking in together
Remind me of my ex. She understood, so she was easy to hide. |

I always thought it was:
he'll always come back *as* the man you dropped /
he'll never come back *as* the man you loved

I wish this song had more vocals but I still think it's great. I'm almost certain it's from the point of view of a rapist singing about his (soon to be?) victim. |

I feel very similar the post previous to this one. This song also reminds me of an ex-girlfriend and is amazingly haunting. "I'll come around, when you're down." |

One of their best tracks.
It's obvious that the song is about a man who doesn't know how to talk to women. But the sound of the song is so creepy and spooky it makes you wonder if the man in question has bad intentions. |

Men do stupid things for women. Including taking handfuls of pills because she took them too and she's too scared to die alone. |

No question that this song is about rape. Whether it's from the rapists' point of view or the victim's, that's another question. |

Even though he says he's not mad, I believe he is mad, but at himself. Whatever girl he's messing around with, he doesn't cognitively want to, but continues to do so anyway, out of boredom? Perhaps loneliness. Even though she's bad for him, he keeps going back for more. |
