| It was the first song that we wrote, and i wrote the whole song up until the chorus, lyrically, about doubting religion. So, flash forward a year-and-a-half later and about two or three months ago, my dad passed away. The night that he passed away, I woke up from my sleep with an extraordinarily massive amount of energy, and I can only describe it as though someone injected me with a gallon of methamphetamine's and ecstasy with electricity. My heart is going 1000 miles per minute, and something is in the room and I can't figure out what this is. I reach for my phone, and there's nothing on my phone. Mind you, i just left my dad at hospice a couple of hours before that. I lay back down, and for 30 minutes I'm trying to fall back asleep, but i can't because i'm literally high. Then my phone buzzes and it's the hospice nurse and she said, "Please call me." I called her, and she said, "Your dad passed away 30 minutes ago." It was the most insane feeling ever. It was so supernatural that it literally changed my life, because it was so strong. Then i went back and i wrote the chorus for this song doubting the existence of God. beautiful song. who cares if there's no rap, its all about the beat and the lyrical content for me. it fits the situation im in right now. i've got a guy that im very fond of, and although he's so gorgeous and makes me so happy when im with him, i know that i don't love him properly. he seems like my perfect match, and part of me wishes i could keep him forever.. but at the same time, i know that im different around him. he can get whatever he wants out of me, and i break all my own rules for him. he's not good for me, and all my friends think its time to let him go. i don't want to let him go.. even though loving him is getting us nowhere.. its supposed to be.. 'the end is where you hope you never say, i could've done it better. and im gonna keep what counts and throw away what doesn't really matter.' a beautiful song. its basically about life and death. i.still.remember is right.when we live our lives, we shouldn't live it worrying about every single thing. the good and the bad come, and as hard as it gets, we should all just accept what happens. we shouldn't be cautious about our mistakes, and should do what we want, coz in the end, all we want is happiness. no one wants to die with complete regret. everyone has problems, but we should just accept it. its a part of life. note, 'we all fall down'. the songs basically telling us that we should embrace life, take chances, do what we want, have fun, and forget about the past. the best line is, 'and i wanna die, on the highest high. its not over til its over, i wanna stay here forever.' we should all want more happiness for ourselves, we shouldn't give up. love life.. yknow, all those amazing cliches. =D another amazing song from the boys. a favourite in the new album. |

this song is so important to me. when i was younger i went through a really emotional rough patch, and this song was my anthem. it got me through it all. and dannys voice just makes me want to cry. from the minute i heard it, all those years ago, i haven't gotten sick of it since. although im not christian or catholic, i do undertand danny is. but I think he was also referring to the people who love him. his friends/family etc. it perfectly captures dannys feelings as he just began to write songs with tom in london. he wasn't sure where it was all heading, and he was dealing with college, wondering if this was all going to work out, and if he had something come back to if everything he was hoping for fell apart. one of mcfly best songs. definetly the top three. im really glad danny kept at it, no matter how depressed he was. |

amazing. this song makes me cry. when mcfly does a ballad, they do it good. i had a relationship like this not so long ago, so everytime i hear it, i look back and get really depressed. but the soothing voices of danny and tom sort me out eventually. and i remember when mcfly came to aus, and i was driving to see them, i was listening to this. coz i didn't get tickets so i was wondering if id get to meet them. i did, so when i listen to this, i rememebr the drive to their gig, and how i felt. weird, i know. but i met them both times anyway. so along with the bad memories while listening to this, the good memories come to. dannys voice gives me shivers in this. and the line, 'was i just another ghost that's been in your bed?' makes me me teary everytime. its the best song to relate to bad relationships. epic. |

everytime i listen to this i feel warm and happy, but still sorta hurt that life and love isn't always this beautiful. the dannys verse is sung so beautifully, and when tom sings the bridge, i shiver coz its so amazing. its clear tom loves giovanna so much. his verse, with the hollywood bit makes me feel like crying. they're so amazing. every single line in this song is beautiful and sung with such feeling. why wasn't it on an album?!?! i seriously think this is one of mcflys best songs. it gets a reaction out of me every single time. im pretty sure tom wrote this song with the boys from busted. maybe that's why they never put it on an album. |

i guess this songs just about life in general. and how we battle it out everyday, not knowing what's gonna happen. when we're gonna die. etc etc. we take the good with the bad. and live everyday as it comes, knowing that one day, it'll just end badly, but you'll still have the good things to look back on. think this is an awesome song btw. don't know why no one else has commented. |

personally I think its a song anyone can relate to if they have someone that understands them and supports them. basically the songs about living life with all its problems, and the problems are overwhelming, but in the end you know there's that special someone who somehow makes everything okay just by being there. |

I think this song is about being someone and believing in them so much that you've become oblivious to their lives. Its like you're so whipped that subconsciously you know that someones no good, but you love them so much that you tell yourself they'll change within time. and btw, maxxies dance to this is awesome. I love it!! |
