| Sonata Arctica – Good Enough Is Good Enough Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I usually skip over this one when listening to Unia. I think the beginning part is pretty cool, though. The rest of the song is lacking anything to hold my interest. It's just the narrator bawwing over a relationship that he can't get over. | |
| Sonata Arctica – The Worlds Forgotten, The Words Forbidden Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I'm thinking it's a sequel to "Destruction Preventer". The end of Destruction Preventer has an atomic bomb going off, starting a nuclear holocaust. TWFTWF continues on after the initial explosion, with the narrator suffering from the effects of the intense radiation ("No light, only suffocating dark/deep, burning pain). The narrator longs for something comfortable, like his home. He notices things have changed for the worse (obviously...). my grass isn't green- [It's all burning] my sky isn't blue- [It's dark red with dust and fire] The river runs dry- [explosion makes river go bye bye] my flower has died- [died from radiation, fire, etc] This isn't my home- [it isn't the same] As for the title, The Worlds Forgotten refers to the peoples lives that were lost due to world leader's vanities, and the Words Forbidden might be the call to initiate a nuclear launch. |

| Sonata Arctica – The End Of This Chapter Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Here's my interpretation. The man and this woman, used to be dating. The woman wanted to break up with him, but the man still loved her. Things turned violent, and he was sent to jail. Years later, upon his escape is where the song starts. The song begins with a call to his ex. The line, "you almost got away from me, didn't you" is foreshadowing to what will happen later. Most of this song is spent with the narrator thinking to himself. He thinks how he loved her so passionately, he practically gave his whole life to her. It was when she tried breaking up with him that he was separated and thrown in jail. When taking the man in, the law enforcers either had vowed to keep him locked up ("Make sure that we would never meet") Outside the woman's house, he finds that she has a boyfriend or husband. He feels rejected but tries to remain sane, by rationalizing that he hasn't threatened her (yet). The woman looks out the window and sees him. He successfully fools her into thinking that he won't hurt her. When she falls asleep, he break in and sets up a little romantic scene (with the candle). She wakes up to the horror of this guy standing beside him. He kills her, then suicides (the music fading out into the soft piano melody symbolizes his life flickering out). |

| Sonata Arctica – My Selene Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think this song is about a man longing for a lover. The song talks about a hypothetical lover (Selene). The singer sings to the Moon as if it were this hypothetical lover, Selene (in accordance with Mythology). His hope for someone to love eventually fades away until the climax, where he tries one last time to look for a lover, but he eventually dies of a broken heart. | |
| Sonata Arctica – Victoria's Secret Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
sorry for the triple(!) post. Supporting the kidnap and rape: "The Shades of darkness filled her life, In every single corner you can not turn right. Night could pass for a day, in her lack of faith, she let it all fade away." It seems that Victoria had to keep her prostitution in secret (hence Victoria's secret). And when she gets free she gives up her old life in favor of starting anew. "There is no way you would go back now, oh no, those days are past" |

I'd like to revise my previous interpretation. Victoria was a prostitute who was kidnapped and abused by a client of her's. One night she finally sees the opportunity to stab hey killer with a knife and free herself. She's now able to live her life. Most of the song suggests a dark history, and being a prostitute seems to fit well as a reason to why she was kidnapped. |

| Sonata Arctica – Victoria's Secret Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Here's my Interpretation(s). Victoria has been blackmailed by some other girl (for who knows what). She's basically been enslaved by this woman, even being confined to a small dark room with only a lantern. She cries every night for a way out. One day, she is able to sneak out, and Victoria murders her captor in her sleep. She's now free to live her life, but has to keep the murder a secret. That interpretation seems to solve the inconsistencies with the Suicide interpretation. After all, how is she free to "reach the goals that you have set" if she's dead? SA has meaning behind their lyrics, and I can't see that as meaning that she had no goals. What's the meaning in that? |

| Sonata Arctica – It Wont Fade Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
The song is about a young, rebellious wolf. He feels that everyone in his pack (B.O.B. is probably not a clan name, might mean "Best of Breed") is wrong [Feel the world has let you down], so he insists on doing things his own way, on his own [the attitude, ignorance, proved to be fatal; Secrecy, silence, a stench of treason]. The wolf insists that he can overcome everything with power [no, you cannot hide behind your glowing eyes], but the pack bails him out every time because they just can't leave him [don't make us walk away, packs stay together]. This has gotten both him and his pack into many dangerous and near-death situations [The things that you do will infect us too]. They beg and plead with him, knowing that it's just in vain and his attitude won't fade, so they give him another chance [Not all shared the idea to give you the chance to fail us again], but threaten him with disbarment [had no rules, that is to change or you'll forever run alone] if he tries anything stupid again. |

"If you release one, you release them all" means that once the first nuclear strike hits, retaliation will soon follow |

| DragonForce – Scars of Yesterday Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think it's about a man raping his ex rather malevolently. A DragonForce with meaning? NO WAI! Supporting lines: "Dreams of a life forgotten now will be gone Never to return again" "Sadness in her eyes" "Trapped within my fierce desire, resistance is futile Screaming for your life, nowhere to hide Tonight we cross the line, your innocence is mine" "Set me free from craving the one thing I can't have inside of me But is it all a waste of time?" "We shall remember the pain she held inside" |

| DragonForce – Strike of the Ninja Lyrics | 17 years ago |

This song is a cover from ZP's and Sam's side band, Shadow Warriors. As for the meaning, I feel that it's pretty literal and about the epicness of Ninjas. |

Did I see a spark on your eye, or was it just the last light of hope that died? Powerful. |
