the drumming at the end isn't actually that spectacular; it just sounds good because of the way it's recorded. not that i'm knocking richard's drumming; he's great. his style is quite different to others and more conventional bands, and it gives their music a whole extra dimension, for me anyway. i love this song. i really related to it when i first heard it, so it's been one of my favourite elbow songs ever since. beautiful. |
