while i see how this song could be interpreted to have a deeper and darker meaning, when i listen, all i see is driving to the beach, driving on the lake shore where i live. staring out at endless miles of water and sand. pure, untouched, playful. i guess it could have a different meaning for everyone. |

I am just so in love with this song. I first heard it on Six Feet Under, which is what it was written for, and it's forever linked to that scene of Brenda giving birth in my mind.
It's very powerful, sad, but still has hopefulness with the 'hey hey hey' part. |
