Damn, this album was freaking fantastic. Not a song on there that wasn't good in my opinion. This one has got to be one of my alltime favorite songs. You can just feel the sorrow in the song especially as he sings the chorus. But I love the last half of the song, amazing. Just another amazing job by another amazing band. |

This song is for all of us out there who have ever been picked on or bullied. It is a testament to that feeling of revenge that all of us have vied for and some have achieved. It should remind you that no matter how bad it is, no matter how far it goes, know that someday, if you play your cards right, you will come back "built by them, your desire constructed by them, and your hatred perfected by them." I am one of the some that have achieved that feeling, and I will tell you. It was worth the 7 years of shit I had to go through. |

You can't help but sing to this song wherever and whenever you hear it. It just has that awe-inspiring feeling to it. I don't know about anyone else, but when I hear it, especially the "show me how defenseless you really are" verse, I think of all the people who have ever bullyed me and how it is when they see me after 10 years and that oh so satisfying feeling you get when you realize that you turned out 10 times better than they did. |

One of my personal favorite songs of all time. And that is something hard to do for me. This song just makes you want to sing, jump and vent about every loved one that has ever betrayed you in some way. I don't think anyone can easily resist this energy-packed song's call.
As for the meaning. I usually go to the music video of the song because the band usually determines what goes on in there; thus, visually explaining what the song is about in most cases. So I think it is about multiple cases of someone being betrayed by their true love, family, etc. |
