Okay, this is my song of 2009 so far. Very hard to beat on its studio version, which is the summit of perfection.
I'm pretty sure it's "on my father's grave". Noah's father died a couple of years ago, and Noah is known for writing very autobiographical lyrics (all of "Young Prayer", Take Pills, Bro's, Brother Sport etc). I think he's promising on his father's grave that he'll do well with his family. |

This is not only my favorite Beulah song, but one of my favorite E6 songs altogether. The long intro is splendid. |

You think it's fabulous? I think it's crap. I like some of the melodies, like the central part of "Wicked Wisdom", or even most of "An Eluardian Instance", but why did they bloody have to add those patchwork segments? Wouldn't this song be a lot better if it ended at 3:53? |

Wacky wacky song! It seems to be pretty straight-forward ska-influenced indie pop, just until it gets so slow and calm, and then it just goes nuts. The instrumentation is brilliant. Thanks for posting! |
