I think this song could be about him already being in a relationship, but his girlfriend maybe has a suspiciously close (guy) friend. He keeps having visions of the two getting together, hence 'it's all in my head', although he can't overcome the jealousy 'but she's touching his chest now, he takes off her dress now'. He 'just can't look' because he loves her so much, and that's why it's killing him. |

i think this song could be about losing a girlfriend. he prays that shes heard the words hes spoken so that she wont turn away from him. he dares to believe that the relationship will work for one last time, but then he knows that it will have to end and he denies all the feelings he had for her, because people would only look down on him for still wishing they were together. but in his heart he will always want the two of them to be together. not too sure about the 'carry me away' bit though. maybe hes switched the direction of his conversation to his friends who hel need to get him through the rough times of letting go of the love he once had. the 'darkness' hes singing about might refer to all the dark feelings he might be having, such as still thinking about the love hes let go of. or if his previous love likes someone other than him, he might be having dark visions about the two of them together. perhaps his 'slow walking away' could be him taking things slowly until hes finally let go, and he can breathe again, on his own.

hey ChaDMcBaDD, they don't deserve the title maggot if they cant apreciate it, this song bloody rocks man, as well as most of the songs on the new album, its a rather fine creation.
i think hes basically getting sick of all the people who abuse the music industry as a source of riches, and dont use it to broadcast a voice of ideas, which is what should be used for. you shouldnt care if the fat cats get their loot, as long as you get your message across and theyre just happy to be numb with their money. |

i think this song is about someone coreys been hurt by because they dont seem to care about him anymore. even if they make out that they do. he doesnt want to feel like a fool so hes saying that if they really loved him theyd let him go, rather than going on like this. the air around him feels like a cage because no matter where he goes he cant escape from his love for this person. just a suggestion though.
also i want to say i got into slipknot post Vol. 3, cos id probably have not bothered with them again after their first album. though i still think everything after their first ablum is great :). |
