i always thought this song was about graduating high school. like i was thinking about "the taste of ink" as being the ink you write with everyday in school, just a way of saying hes sick of school. he talks about how everyday becomes more and more like the last day, thats how i feel during the school year, the days just all blur together and i just want to get out and be free. oh and he says "standing with your spotlight on me", maybe they are shining a spotlight on him when he walks up on stage to graduate? well thats just how i always thought about it. |
