| The Polyphonic Spree – Section 17 (Suitcase Calling) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Polyphonic Spree constantly sing about the sun coming and time going away. In this song it references the sparkle sky, and the days going softly. | |
| The Polyphonic Spree – Section 14 (Two Thousand Places) Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think it is interesting looking at the 3 things you've gotta be 1. good - everyone strives to be good, and it is possible to make changes to your life and become better. 2. strong - also something that people can strive for and become stronger. 3. 2000 places at once - this is the kicker. No one can be 2000 places at once. As auxocrome said, people have too much pressure to be perfect, and to achieve unattainable goals. Then the song ends again with the apocalyptic message that time will go away...and all that will be left is love. I'd also like to point out the lines: It takes the sun to make the sidewalk, it takes the moon to burn my feet. How amazingly poetic switching the nouns in these sentences. Logic would say 'It takes the sun to make the moon; It takes the sidewalk to burn my feet." I don't know what the technical name is for this rearrangement, but I like it. |

| Poe – Trigger Happy Jack (Drive by a Go-Go) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"He" is a penis "Trigger happy jack" is an excited penis. It says "why do you gotta be such a dick" She is clearly singing about how she has a love/hate relationship with the male reproductive organ. "He" demands to be satisfied in a threatening and violent way, then sometimes 'he' calms down...but in this state she can't get any pleasure from 'him' so she feels like it is a trick. Once again she arouses him...never really sure if she loves 'him' or hates 'him.' |

| Avril Lavigne – Things I'll Never Say Lyrics | 17 years ago |

This song is about oral sex. It is too obvious to be a mistake. Clearly when it was released someone pointed this out. I wanna blow you.... away. I wanna see you go down... on one knee. (on me). Come on! Don't get me wrong, it is a great song. And I agree it is similar to Poe - Angry Johnny in my analysis. Only this song was written and produced and then marketed to teeny boppers which is a little weird. Those are the main lines in the chorus, but every other line seems to fall into place with this interpretation. tugging at my hair. cheeks are turning red. I want to be with you every night. Am I squeezing too tight? What's wrong with my tongue? keeps slipping. Doesn't matter what's on my mind. Sorry. I love you Avril. |

| The Polyphonic Spree – Section 19 (When the Fool Becomes a King) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Recently I've been looking at this song as it relates to apocalyptic predictions. It seems to point to some sort of astrological event when we all look to the sky. Civilization becomes paralyzed. In the 'marching part' the song talks about the 'new world' beginning. It seems to cheer on this idea, and suggests that love more than religion or 'our ways' is the key to going on your way. | |
