Sounds like a double meaning for a song. The lyrics clearly state they are going to prom, and most people assume prom is where people lose their virginity -- American Pie movies, etc -- because they are going to college soon, and want to "experience things." Could be special moments, too, but I believe it's about losing your virginity with a person you held close. |

I wasn't a big fan of him at first, but I can't deny his music is great. This song is great because it's about a guy who wants to make a girl feel great in her life, and help her get over her heartbreak. It's a great motivational song, and I really do enjoy listening to these songs lately. |

I definitely relate to this song, having come out of a pretty bad breakup. I believe this song is about all the other posters have said, a woman telling the man that he gave her up and will regret it...not now, but someday in his life, and he will think how stupid he was to let her go. It's a bittersweet song, but still a power pop ballad that shows that women can raise up from the worst of circumstances and still come out as a strong individual. It makes me happy, sad, and also good to dance to.

When I first heard this song, it was Christmas day and I had begun to have an obsession with this single track off the CD. I used to play it a lot, and it was 2006 when this happened. I don't know why this certain track appealed to me, but it made me really like Fergie more because she can write about things that are relatable about someone you really love.

This song reminds me so much of past experiences. The song is definitely from a girl's perspective, and she is broken up with for another girl. She doesn't feel pretty anymore, due to how amazing the girl is compared to her, from jealousy. The girl is trying to decipher reasons why he broke up with her.
I really like this song, and it took me a while to figure out who sang it and what it was called. |

I know this song has various interpretations, but to me when I listen to it I see someone in a hospital bed hooked up and a man standing in front of another. Perhaps his own father, who he had gotten into a fight with, due to his own anger of not being good enough. And the dad is passive-aggressive.
I don't know, I just think of a father-son fight when I listen to this song. I really like it, though. |

This song is truly beautiful and tragic. I can relate to it, so much. I believe I can relate to it due to the fact that I've liked a lot of people and never made a move due to how insignificant I felt, and how invisible I was.
The guitar solo towards the end is Ev-worthy. So awesome. |

I didn't look at this song meaning when I first heard it, but I definitely noticed the 'Lacuna Coil' sound. I thought it sounded pretty cool, because I love LC and they are the most relaxing bands aside A Perfect Circle to me.
This song made me really sad. I think I cried, and it gets to you. You can feel her pain. It's definitely about her sister. I really like this song, despite it's dark circumstances. It just is something many people can relate to who has lost someone -- To give their own life in place of another to be with them.
It's truly heartbreaking. I love it, though, because it's a great song. |
