Sorry Lespaulsmith, but this song is about God. Just because you don't like it doesn't give you a right to tell Christians to shut up. Aaron Marsh is a devout Christian. That's why you read Christian interpretations on these songs. Now, not every song of Copeland's is about God. I know that. But I completely agree with Bridget's comment for THIS song. You won't see me talking about God on a Copeland song that's clearly about a woman or on a Slipknot song. |

Thank you chris chris for pointing at the amazing acronym of the song. That to me is what truly reveals the message of the songs. Whether it's specifically about america or not, I do not know. However, Boyd is making a comment on modern society and their addictions. I.E. talk shows, COCAINE, other drugs, etc. It's not about Bush. It's just not. And as for all you people who believe they're left wing tools, think again. Megalomaniac is a great song. Bush deserved it at the time, and so does any other prick who lets the power go to his head. Open your brains! |

| Copeland – Love Is a Fast Song Lyrics

I know you're right about the idea behind the first verse. however, the entire song is not based on that. A different story is told in the second verse, meaning the chorus cannot be referring to only the first. When he sing Your love is a fast song, he singing to God. Don't know if y'all know this but Aaron is christian. The song is NOT about how love isn't what it used to be. It's about how love is not what God intended it to be. "What has love become? It's not like we used to hear in those old songs, and it's not like YOURS!!!" He is talking to God. Personally, I look at this song as one of worship, and it's amazing. |
