this song received nothing of the attention it deserved when the album was first released. much of the bravery is kinda sullen-seeming, with a few exceptions here and there. but this song is like a total polar opposite from their norm. its so upbeat and catchy. despite the story behind it, it is a rather lovely song. not many have the feeling that this one does. theres not much else to say that hasnt already been said, but i want to say something, so i might as well repeat what others have said. its about two people who felt lost and disconnected from their lives until they found each other. their past, their "hole" that separates them from society, brings them together. you can also see evidence of the background story in the lines "every day you bring me pain / and we savor it like rain" just sayin. great song any way you interpret it |
