I agree with the dieforkurt dude. This is a great song, but not Nirvana's greatest. It's kind of hypocritical that this song MEANS for not everyone to listen to their music, and people listen to this song more than any other, and don't even get the point. If Kurt were alive, he'd be pissed off. |

i agree completely with nick. most of this album can have religious or political meanings, and i think this one is both. it mentions God a lot, so thats religious, and it also mentions war, like "start a war in another backyard". corey definitely got his shit together and thought about the world when he wrote this album. love the sound and lyrics |

yeah, the last lyric where it says "it doesnt matter, when the only thing will never die", it definately says "when the only thing we love will die." just thought id point that out. love the song tho, great point and amazing lyrics. i also like how corey isnt sounding all emo anymore and talking about how insane he is. hes a lot more down-to-earth now |

I think it means that its a mix of them hating the government like tillwedie said, like the orphans lyric and the war, and its also about what mynamehere said like that every religioun is complete bullshit so they just do their own thing. especially the christianity, like "live forever? id rather die" part. it could be both, one of them, or either. |
