Sara said that when she wrote this song, she wasn't getting along with Tegan too well and wrote the song about feeling trapped. |

Sara told Tegan that she didn't want to be in their band anymore, but their mom convinced Sara to stay and then Tegan wrote this song. When they perform it live, she does say "Sara sat on the highway." |

Not Tonight and Terrible Storm were both written about the same thing. Sara wrote it after reading a book and then watching the movie, hoping the movie would be great like the book. She was disappointed, she explains it much better in this video
