| Oh shit, really? Did he say that in an interview or anything? I didn't hear about any of that, but I read the lyrics over again and it seems to make more sense than what I was thinking. | |

Ok, I only read through some posts so forgive me if someone said this already. But this song is definitely about him being in court for raping a girl. "The night I stuffed it all in"/"couldn't come"/"lust to my brain" This parts pretty self explanatory. Just him talking about the night, you know? "the angels"/"Can't stay in heaven"/"devil" Ok, here's where your metaphors are. The angels are actually a jury. He's begging them not to send him to jail (heaven). I'm not sure if the devil is the judge or a lawyer, or the girl or whatever. Anyway, the song is just him in court begging the girl he raped for forgiveness of the charges. Saying things like "I lost my head", "You're over-reacting (said I stabbed you to death)", "Aside from this thing you don't even know me (cut out the bed... nothing left)" |

| Mudvayne – A Key To Nothing Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Song reminds me of Mullholland Drive. For those who haven't seen it, the main character orders a hit on her ex. She is told that she will know it took place, because the guy doing the job will leave a blue key on her coffee table. The key leads to nothing, but is a symbol of the evil she created. It eats away at her, drives her into madness, and eventually causes her suicide. | |
