Hawk Nelson – Zero Lyrics 15 years ago
Honestly, I have attempted suicide before.
And, one of the only things that stopped me, was thinking about how many people I'd hurt in the process. Not only would I permenently damage myself, but my parents, friends, girlfriend, teachers, students, and the list goes on.
This song made a little joy for me whenever I have thoses feelings.

M.I.A. – Paper Planes Lyrics 15 years ago
When I first heard this song, I was appalled at the lyrics and the children singing "All I wanna do is BANG BANG BANG BANG" But then, I started singing it and the catchy tune stuck with me through teh day.
It was funny because when I went around singing it around other people, when I got to the "BANG BANG" part, people I didn't even know would turn around and yell "BANG BANG!" Lol...I guess this is a pretty ok song after all.

Blinkfan? I am sorry you can't even appreciate music just for its musical value, and I totally understand it that you are angry at us.
Shame on you! Fellow Christians! We are supposed to uphold our non-beliveing peoples.
Go to Hell? Why would you even joke about something like that? We are ALL sinners. We are ALL in this thing together.
Wishing another person to damnation just because he doesn't like a certain type of music? I don't think you guys realise the gravity of what you are saying.
I just have to say that I am pissed at the way believers are acting this day and age. I would even go as far as to agree with blinkfan that not all music is amazing. And if all us Christians have to do all day is damn a brother in need, I think ALL of us need to log off, shut up, and grab a nice book. Perhaps a Bible?
As for the song? It's O.K.

Newsboys – John Woo Lyrics 15 years ago
I think you guys are thinking too hard about this. A song does not have to have a "secret meaning."
Of course, I realise the lyric "metaphore trying to get out" makes it seem like it does have one. (believe me, I've racked my brains over this song)
I believe this song is literal.
A band member was probably in a car when a bee came and freaked him out almost to a crash.
The John Woo aspect of the song just describes the scene of a grown man violently trying to kill this bee.(as all on John Woo's movies are extremely violent.

Switchfoot – Amy's Song Lyrics 15 years ago
I, too, believe this song is about a missionary going overseas, never to be seen again. But, her "fire" still spreads even though she's gone.

Switchfoot – More Than Fine Lyrics 16 years ago
First of all, the song lyrics on the actual CD cover were put in the wrong order. just thought I'd mention it.
I didn't like this song as much as the others in this album. Probably because they overplayed it on the radio when it came out. (woof)
But it still "ROX" (cause it's SF)

A simple scan of the lyrics would desroy all notion of it being a love song. ("so long, my friend, so long?")

Switchfoot – Adding To The Noise Lyrics 16 years ago
This song is SO TRUE for me. In all my songs, I'M DYING to put a guitar solo in somewhere.
But then I remember that these songs are not for my benifit, they're all for GOD!!! These songs are meant to teach humans about the redemptive qualities of GOD!!!
I'm also listening to it right now =]

The "life is still worth living" lyric has NOTHING TO DO with Bono just like "roto-tom fills" have NOTHING TO DO with "riches of the kings." These lyrics just got stuck together on the same musical interlude.

But honestly, This song is a happy way to say... "LIVE YOUR LIVES TO THE FULLEST!!!"

Hey boyslikegirls123,
Could the song you are thinking of be "Easier than Love" on the original album "Nothing is Sound"
I admit they dont sound exactly alike, but they kind of do and they are about the same moral bankruptcy.

Switchfoot – Meant To Live Lyrics 16 years ago
Insanelysane, I understand where you are coming from. I, myself, am a Christian who doesn't appriciate other Christians making big deals of this stuff. The songs I write would actually offend some Christians, as they get deep into the "hell" of situations. I sometimes choose to lay down my "Christ-eyes" and look at life through a non-believer.
To see how on earth there is a god that loves me enough for all the sh*tty things I've done. Only then will the non-believers begin to believe. AND THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS INNIT?!!

Switchfoot – Innocence Again Lyrics 16 years ago
This was the first song by Switchfoot that I really listened to. I could really relate to the lyrics (as I'm sure all humans can do. It's just a beautiful reminder of what God did for us so that we might be saved. Plus the bassline makes me smile :)

Death Cab for Cutie – Talking Bird Lyrics 16 years ago
(yada yada?)
Being a believer, I think this song is a God-to-man relation. God leaves us in an "open cage" so we can choose to follow him (stay) or turn away from him (fly away).
Anyway, this song is beautiful in tune and lyric. DCfC really outdid themselves.
