| Muse – I Belong to You/Mon Coeur S'Ouvre a Ta Voix Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"Overdue," "Guiding Light-ning," and "Muse" stuck out when sung. Self-references? That may support what TheKnewl says about the meanings, but the rest of the lyrics don't seem to support that interpretations. Love the song regardless. The French caught me by complete surprise, hah. It's a good buffer between Unnatural Selection + MK Ultra and Exogenesis. There needed to be something to slow down the epic amounts of energy to set the stage for Part 1. |

| b-b-b-bird bird bird. b-bird's the word. | |
| The Last Shadow Puppets – I Don’t Like You Anymore Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| As much as I'd love to disagree (Alexa is so hot), it made me laugh pretty hard. | |

| Muse – Thoughts of a Dying Atheist Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I'm going to try my best to respect people here, but it might be a bit hard considering the controversy and touchyness that lingers about this topic. I've noticed a bunch of religious people commenting on this song, describing how "bad" it is to be atheist and die without a faith. As far as I can recall, Matt Bellamy is an atheist himself. Agnostic might be more fitting, but the specifics aren't important. If he was truly scared about dying, he would have turned into a Christian or SOMETHING a long while ago. I see this song as a very clever form of satire. He's saying that this fear of dying has caused so many people to cling onto faith. This satire is reinforced when Bellamy says "scares the HELL out of me." Atheists don't believe in hell. If he did believe in hell, and the prospect of going to hell scared him, the end wouldn't be all he would see. He would see hell. But he doesn't. |

| Phoenix – 1901 Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Building off of the relationship interpretation... It sounds like the relationship is getting complicated, and the two are trying to work out any issues, but their ideas are getting convoluted and nothing seems to work. The chorus seems to be the singer saying, "Calm down, we don't need this. Just lay down, that's all we need." "Fold it" reminds me of folding a poker hand. Perhaps he means something like "put away the cards, let's stop this gamble." I might have this backwards or something. |

| Arctic Monkeys – Crying Lightning Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Sounds like he's having sex with a slightly crazy woman. Try putting yourself into that mindset and try to interpret the lyrics. | |
| Arctic Monkeys – Dangerous Animals Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| He's almost melding the "ee" ending that G has with E. Sounds like he's stretching out the G... but the E is there fersure. | |
| The Killers – Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| The guitar after "No sex no.... when it comes to today" sounds A LOT like a part from the end of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. | |
| The Lonely Island – Sax Man Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
At first, I was like... What the hell? This song sucks. After reading the lyrics again... holy crap. Hilarious. Sex Man! Sorry... sax man. |

| Simple Plan – Take My Hand Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Damn catchy song, but sounds quite generic. I swear, I've heard chords like these way too many times. | |
| Muse – Take a Bow Lyrics | 16 years ago |

And it fits into Watchmen almost perfectly. The atmosphere of the melodies and harmonies, as well as the lyrics. "Death, you bring death And destruction to all that you touch" |

| Weezer – Automatic Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Man, this song sounded so sick in the Gran Turismo trailer. They sped it up, and it was kickass. I might need to get used to the slower vocals, but as of right now, I'm liking the fast vocals better. Regardless, the song is awesome, and it fit into the song perfectly. |

| Mae – Embers and Envelopes (2008) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I like it better without the religious reference. I think this version sounds a bit noisy, but the vocals are so much better. It sounds so much more mature. | |
| James Morrison – You Make It Real Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Honestly, I think you can do that for every song. Have you tried doing the reverse to a worship song? |

| From First to Last – Emily Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| There are lots of Emilys on the internet, apparently. | |
| 3 Doors Down – Citizen Soldier Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
They've said in their concert once, "Of course we're not pro-war. Nobody likes war-- everyone knows what war brings. But, we do support the men and women in our military..." Then the crowd goes wild, screaming "USA! USA!" I think they've finally taken that and put it into a song. |

| 3 Doors Down – Let Me Be Myself Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I feel you, dundane. I'm stuck in a similar situation, except with my mother (I'm still a wee kid). I really want to go into something with computers. Whether it's software programming, design, or game development, I love computers. But my mom wants me to do Pharmacy. Phooey. I don't want to have a well paying, easy, monotonous job. I want a job that I'll enjoy. I don't care if I'm paid little money. But I can't do what I want. She's living my life and not giving me another option. I'm stuck doing a million things I don't want to do, and I hate it. This song reflects my present thought. I'm stuck on with expectations and standards that I have to meet, that I'm so welled up inside. I just want to do my own thing. Sorry for adding yet another rant to the emo abyss known as Songmeanings. Even if none of you read this or care about it, it makes me feel better when I write this out. Strangely, not knowing any of you helps me. So thanks, strangers, and I apologize. |

| Anberlin – Blame Me! Blame Me! Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Correction on the last verse. Torturing ourselves We must be into the abuse If you're the rope that ties us together Then please make me a new sad speech Or leave and beg me just to stay Used to run to my arms But now I'm pulling away Come and go as you please I'm like a part time lover With well worn knees Well come on |

I'm not too sure about the gleamings, I think it might be another "Blame Me." Seems like Stephen's girlfriend wasn't too kind to him. |

| Anberlin – Breaking Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song's pretty catchy. I'm not sure if it's just me, but there's fewer verses in Anberlin's new CD, and instead there are more choruses. Breathe only has a couple of different lines... Maybe it is just me. Easy meaning. Boy likes girl. A lot. Girl suddenly breaks up with boy. Boy is sad. |

| Relient K – The Scene And Herd Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| In the tours, Matt spells out the name of this song, almost like he WANTS you magically get it for free. | |
| Anberlin – Younglife Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Is it just me, or does someone scream "I wanna do you again!" at the end instead of "I wanna do it again" Anyways, this song is awesome. It's just about remembering the good times, especially if someone's going away. Remember them for the good times. |
