I can't believe how awesome this song is. Seriously, it blows my mind everytime i listen to it. I got some BG songs from friends (including most songs from NFIME), but i never had Noldor. I bought the album today and i always wanter to hear how this song sounds and i am blown away. BTW, i think kidsmoke made a joke which i found very funny actually... good one kid:D |

I'm a huge Metallica fan, I loved all their albums except St. Anger, but its ok, cuz all bands are bound to make a mistake sometime. I love the new album, I think it is the most brutal think Metallica has ever done and I think its actually the most thrash metal record they've ever done. For me this is a great comeback for Metallica and I believe this is their best album yet. For all the " I hate all post- master of puppets metallica"-guys : stop comparing them to that old shit, I know its classic, but what about the concept on Metallica actually stepping up and do a better record. If you take the time and listen to the record, without thinking its st. anger pt.2, you might actually find that this is an amazing metal album and better than anything they've ever done. An album does not have to be musically challenging to be a great album... |

I don't think there's any reference to real life, this song is purely about playing diablo I or II, or both for that matter. Hansi sings 'the answer's given in the past' - some of the happenings in diablo II is explained in diablo I. The lines - 'to reach the top, i crept deep down', refers to Diablo I, where you have to go down all levels to the bottom 'hell' to max out your character. I know this might sound stupid, but I think this 'system' and 'lies' hes singing of is the fact that, once you complete the game, nothing has really changed and you still fight the demons - you have not reached the top even though you defeated all. |

I can't really say anything 'bout the meaning of the lyrics, 'cause I don't know much about US-politics. I can say though that this is one of the best Megadeth songs ever, one of the bests on the album. I really enjoy the 'new' megadeth and think they (Dave) have just morphed into such a great band after all these years. I love the solo's and the verse riff and the chorus... damn I love this whole song. |

I think this song is, as azraw said, about breaking your routine - a routine of being dead and it feels like you have no purpose (relating to the album title). I can relate to that meaning cuz it often feels as if I am just rushing towards life's end (death) and not making use of my life. Though i can't really see how the guys of In Flames could feel that way, they've made this awesome album, jk :) But I can understand how they/he feels, its like, no matter how hard you try, nothing really ever satisfies. I don't know its just my opinion cuz i can relate to it. |

Guys, I don't want to sound like i'm not satisfied with anything, but this just isn't that good for me. I think it is a vast improvement on st anger, but it isn't much better than Load/Reload. The song is much more complex with better riffs, solos, but the lyrics arent that great and it still sounds as if metallica is trying too hard. I hope i'm wrong and will learn to love the cd... |
