The Used – Hard To Say Lyrics 16 years ago
I think it is pretty obvious this song is about making a mistake and losing someone special as result. Now years later your still missing that person, still regretting what happened and still a mess from it. To relate to this song I don't even think a person had to do or say something to mess the friendship/relationship up but more lack of words that messed it up.

"It's hard to say I held my tongue
It's hard to say if only
Since you've been gone I'm not the same"

Sort of that if only I hadn't held my tongue and said what I needed to say, things could have turned out different. But now that time has passed it's to hard to say the things now.

Armor for Sleep – Kind Of Perfect Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this song is about wanting to so desperately be apart of someones life after a failed relationship. It's beautiful because he never mentions trying to be with her. It like he already knows it wouldn't work out and has accepted that but still wants to be something to her no matter what it may be. But reality sets in and he knows he needs to let go. I always felt like when he talks about letting go it's not for his sake but hers and that's why he is promising to stop all this.

Armor for Sleep – Basement Ghost Singing Lyrics 17 years ago
I think that if you do look it as the guy is dead, then yes it sounds like he wants to reach out to her and let her know he is still there but can't. But hes going to stop "singing" because he knows she needs to move on even if he can't.

But I think if you look at it metaphorically, it is about someone who is still in love with an ex and is there for her.. maybe as a friend now? He is trying to deal with still loving her and wishes he could tell her the truth but can't. He can't get the words out and knows that it make things harder for her knowing.

Kittie – Charlotte Lyrics 17 years ago
It's pretty obvious that this song is about being betrayed.

I've always had the impression it was about a girl falling for a guy only for him to take advantage of her and then leave as if she was nothing to him. Then she either seeks revenge on him or dreams about doing so. She is "something" to him now because of the revenge. He has been caught and has to deal with it. But whether or not she gets her revenge it doesn't make her feel any better bout it thus "im so cold" is right after the revenge part of the song.

"You Said You Wanted It, Alright...No! Its Not Alright" I always felt like it was as if the guy was saying "you said you wanted it so its alright" and she tells him that is isnt.

And the title just makes it think that maybe it is about a friend's experience or maybe I got it all wrong and it is about a friend named Charlotte. Only the band knows for sure lol.

The Cure – Last Dance Lyrics 17 years ago
It makes me think about seeing a past love after so many years and having all those past feelings come flooding back. At the same time that those feelings come back he can't help but notice how time has changed them and the passion they shared. He wants to kiss her and feel as if nothing has changed but he knows it can never happen.

Looking at some of the lines like "And the fur and the mouth and the innocence" "The blindness of happiness
Of falling down laughing" makes me think this past love was from teenage years.
