Although a lot of people are saying affair, it reminds more of that whole storyline that the boy and girl are best friends and he loves her, but she's getting married to someone else. I'm not saying that is it, but it comes off as he loves her, but she got married to someone else and he feels the hisband doesn't recognize what he recognizes about her. If that makes sense. I don't like Fall Out Boy, but I cannot deny the new stuff. This song impressed more than anything they've ever done. Major, major kudos to the band. This is pretty amazing. |

I would just add that this song is absolutely BEAUTIFUL (trying to put as much emphasis on that word as possible) and these are some the greatest songs by these boys. These lyrics are so ridiculously amazing. I also agree with whoever said this song is not about a girl. |

I don't understand you people. We go from anxious, quick, brilliant from Almost Here to long, dark, beautiful songs from Santi and now we get "I'll never let you fall" and "You and me forever?" Musically, this song is nothing special but it's not so bad to where I would critisize it. Vocally, it's new, but William's known for just having beautiful vocals and he still does on this song. Lyrically, this song is a pathetic mainstream look-a-like and I couldn't be more dissapointed with my favorite band. |

Either a drug problem, illness, alchohalism, break up, anything that could cause someone to break down emotionally and physically. It's about him wanting the person (who, I don't know) to be better and believing they will be through dreams and practically begging thoughts. Also, he mentions "I found the cure / all of your physical ailments no more / in my mind, you're alright," so you would assume that there's guilt somehwere inside of him. That can be backed up by "I'm miles away / across the airwaves." Beautiful song. |

I agree. It seems to me that this song is about depression, whether it being about an actual person or that person is a metaphor for something else (although, he does sing "just know I wrote this / it's for you"), this is such a beautiful song. I am also a huge LVD fan and this is one of my favorites of their songs. This needs to get out there. Kudos to Letterman for putting the band on his show. |

to me, this is a song about breaking out. it could be the painful transition from adolescence to adulthood, it could be student to musician, etc. it seems he's become lost in his own persnal growth. it's all repetitious. |

i feel the exact opposite, actually. i think this is by far their weakest album lyrically and is also their least original material. this song, though ... i'm not sure how i feel. although it's a tad repatitious, i feel like the message he's relaying is so beautiful and this is one of the few songs that isn't expressed with stereotypes or cliches. kudos to this song. and coppertone and after the last midtown show. |

i believe the meaning of the song really explains itself. it's my favorite song by him, it's just absolutely beautiful. "you've been quite for so long. if something was wrong, you'd never say a word; so i know that you won't get better." something about chris is how he's able to make lyrics that can be so ... reapplied. people seem to be able to get different things from each song, each verse, each lyric. it's more than amazing. as is he. |
