i'm gonna agree with amanda... "i'm terrified to fly blind" "the hunter's the hunted, i'm terrified, i'm open wide" referring to that he's alone now, and afraid. everything he's "hunted" for is now backfiring... it seems as though they're both trying to hang on (she says she's been hanging onto time, he wants to see her), but the "current" is pushing them away...the distance is spanning, no matter how good the plans were laid |

i feel like this song is a lot like blink 182's "going away to college," but i think the emotions are stronger... they're so in love..true love. but they're young, and i think he's leaving and while he's driving he's thinking of memories they had together. he doesn't know what to say to make it better ("do you care if i don't know what to say?" and also "Those notes you wrote me I've kept them all I've given a lot of thought of how to write you back this fall") he's still so in love, but unsure if they'll make it...he's wondering if she feels the same way and if she's going to miss him too. he's also wondering if he'll ever get over her ("will i shake this off..." amazing song. honestly poetry |
