to me, this song is about a boy who begins to question how good a girl actually is. he starts to compare her to other girls, to perfection, something that clearly doesn't exist. In the end, he loses her to a guy who knew how special she really was. |

This is really long, but its my explanation, let me know what you guys think. "I thought you'd come back at least I prayed The romance has been dead for years But i've been too afraid to dig the grave relief support never came memories carry me through the day of when we were kids and angels came to watch us play" What I get out of this part is that obviously he was left. They had thought they loved eachother, but they didn't. In the mean time, they were still staying together because they needed someone. They both knew that they had grown apart, but they didn't really want to believe it & neither of them showed effort in wanting to feel connected again. He remembers when they were in young love, and everything was okay as if an angel guided over their relationship making sure nothing tore them apart. "close my eyes just for tonight the sun still sleeps and when she wakes" I do believe the sun is a metaphor for their love. He goes to sleep every night hoping maybe they'll wakeup & things will be back to how they use to be. "a movie that plays in my mind remembering you helps me survive every day a re-run of the next I promised to stay by your side that all would change i can't complain another victim of the game" From this part, what I understand is that he often finds himself opening doors from the past, remembering how things use to be & doing that helps him get through the day. He re-runs these memories over & over. He remembers promising her that he would always stay by her side, but obviously thats changed because of something she did (i can't complain, another victim of the game) maybe love will find us again for there is always tomorrow sincerely till the end, close my eyes just for tonight the sun still sleeps and when she wakes you'll be a memory And this part is obvious. He has hope for both of them in finding another love. He's cutting of the memories till he's sure he won't need them, he's letting the sun (their love) go. When the girl wakes up, she'll be able to tell hes no longer holding on. its a beautiful song, i dare someone to cover it & actually have as much passion when they sing as underoath does. |

What I'm getting out of this song is that she was left. Shes been drinking, trying to get away from him but she can't let go. Now hes trying to come around because he's afraid she's going to hurt herself. She wants the nights they had together back. She misses him. & The only reason hes trying to come back is to save her. |

About a relationship that is filled with ups and downs, but mostly downs. Lead singer Andrew McMahon wrote it about his ex-girlfriend Krystal, which is why it's Konstantine and not Constantine. The lyrics about the living room are about making out with her. The line "I can spell Konfusion with a "k" and I can like it" refers to how "Krystal" usually isn't spelled with a K. (thanks, Emily - Madison, WI) The band didn't release this on an album because they didn't think it would sound right in that context.
