| SafetySuit – Life Left to Go Lyrics | 16 years ago |

it's about suicide and someone trying to stop someone from jumping "Sometimes the edge serves as more than a friend then you thought it would be" then the chorus "Oh I'm begging you no, there's more life left to go/Oh I'm begging you please, cause I don't want you to leave" pretty simple. and tragically beautiful instrumentals and use of a synthesizer. i love this song! |

| Imogen Heap – Hide and Seek Lyrics | 17 years ago |

TY FRY is completely right.. the song is about child molestation and possibly Imogen's story as a child. Just read and tell me what you think: "Where are we? What the hell is going on? The dust has only just begun to fall Crop circles in the carpet Sinking feeling" - a girl going back to the place where it all happened and her having a "sinking feeling" Spin me around again and rub my eyes This can't be happening When busy streets a mess with people Would stop to hold their heads heavy - how she felt the first time wondering how this could have happened and how the only thing people could do was pity her. Hide and seek Trains and sewing machines All those years They were here first -hide and seek (a childhood game) Oily marks appear on walls Where pleasure moments hung before The takeover, the sweeping insensitivity Of this still life - the house used to once be a happy place, until she lost her innocence (the takeover) and everything since has been frozen. Hide and seek Trains and sewing machines Blood and tears They were here first Mm what'cha say? Mm, that you only meant well Well of course you did - her speaking to the abuser sarcastically: "can you speak up? you didn't mean any harm, surely you didn't" Mm what'cha say? Mm that it's all for the best Of course it is Mm what'cha say? Mm that it's just what we need You decided this? - i had no say in what was going on. Mm what'cha say? Mm what did you say? Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth - he often threated her. Mid-sweet-talk newspaper word cutouts (paper word cutouts) - (poetically) he sweet talked her with 'newspaper word cutouts' like criminals do in ransom notes Speak no feeling; no, I don't believe you You don't care a bit You don't care a bit - she really doesn't want to here his defense because she doesn't care to hear what he has to say. and there it is! |
