jeez 6 years and no comments? Why does no one like their old good stuff? "Infotainment?" was their best album, and all anyone gives a damn about is their new trashy, mainstream drivel. ANyway, love this song, tied with "whiteout" for best IMO. |

| Fear Factory – Securitron (Police State 2000) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This is from wikipedia (and is definitely correct): "The Securitron are the antagonists in the story and their name is part of the album's song, "Securitron (Police State 2000)". In the story, they serve as law enforcement, governmental leaders and are deadset in keeping humanity in-line. Securitron is an actual organization that controls the police of the future, the Police 2000 and also Smasher/Devourer. It is the increased use and abuse of machinery by humanity that caused them to come into existence. They appear to be all over the world and to ensure no crime is gone un-seen, they have set large monitors in various places to keep humanity under their view. This is much like how The Party in Nineteen Eighty-Four utilized the telescreens on the population of Oceania. They themselves are likely cyborgs and also appear to be draining the Earth's resources. Despite keeping humanity under control, their true plans seem to lean on making humanity extinct. They come out victorious against Edgecrusher as in the end of the album they capture and imprison him." |

No you're all wrong. It's about damn machines. Demanufacture, Obsolete and Digimortal are all concept albums ABOUT MACHINES. "Look to the sky On judgement day A human God That was man-made" Yeah, MAN MADE. And "The Terminator" was the inspiration for these concept albums, so it makes sense with the judgement day part. There's likely a deeper meaning, but for the most part, it's a struggle between man and machine in the future. The sooner everyone understands this the better. |

| Fear Factory – Body Hammer Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
FF's songs usually have two meanings, the story part (as a concept album) and the deeper part. "Body Hammer" probably got the latter. More directly anyway, it probably has something to do with some character's anger serving as a tool in some way for some machine related entity. |

| Fear Factory – A Therapy For Pain Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Considering Demanufacture is a concept album about a struggle between man and machine (along with "Obsolete" and "Digimortal"), I really doubt this song anything to do with a failed relationship. This whole album tells a story, this song being the final chapter. Kinda reminds me of A Christmas Carol... but less friendly... |
