| This song is so well written. I love the lyrics. Particularly "when i say it doesn't matter, it matters most of all". I can really identify with this- my exboyfriend and I used to argue a lot, and the sweetest moments are the times after the argument has passed because you're so glad it's over... you've landed "perfectly"... and also, the argument "makes no sense to me" afterwards. x | |

Well, firstly, I think it's about thinking you've found your fairy-tale ending, and then realising you haven't and having to get out of the situation. That's what I think the beginning is about. Also, I think generally the tone of it is hopeful but maybe unrealistic. It reminds me of Gone with the Wind where Scarlett O'hara can't bear to think of the horrible situation she's in so she says, "I'll think about it tomorrow, I can cope with it then." This song kind of sets September as a deadline and says it'll all be alright then, whether that's realistic or not. The stuff about trying not to remember fits with that. Personally, my ex-boyfriend who went away two years ago gets back to england in september, so this has a special meaning for me... everything wrong gonna be alright... come september. x |
