I think this is somewhat of a love song. "Hey pig, Nothing's Turning out the way I planned, Hey pig, There's alot of things I hoped you could help me understand." I love that line. There have been many times when I thought someone was always gonna be there, right behind me. But they just didn't care anymore. So I didn't either. Trent always writes songs that I feel I can relate to. Nine Inch Nails is pure intense emotion. I've got extreme respect, and I've got tickets to see them when they come to tulsa. |

"Sweeten through the ages just like wine." That's my favorite part of the song. For years I couldn't understand what he was saying in that part of the song, so once I finally realized what he was saying it made me appreciate the song more than ever.(also just because of that sentimental value) |

I feel like I can truly relate to this song. Many people make a reasonable asssumption that the song is about an LSD trip. I think so too. Although I love to smoke pot, I have never tried any kind of hallucinagin. I am familiar with the feeling of being understood. I am also familiar with the feeling of being high as fuck while my heart races. The song is about someone who is truly overwhelmed by a burden. Possibly a drug related delusion(I think it's quite obvious) or something they just have to tell the world and they just can't relay the message. It's a great song, possibly my favorite Tool song. |
