Pertaining to the line "Everything feels like touchdown on a rainy day", remember he's English. I'm sure he's not a bears fan. He might be talking about touching down in a plane, something I'm sure he's very familiar with at this point. Going along with the theme that he's not able to commit time to a relationship, touch down on a rainy day is a little victory. It means you haven't died in a crashing plane, but it's still kind of a bummer to be away from being able to find love. |

I think this song is about Trent falling into a heroin addiction in an effort to take his mind off losing possibly the love of his life.. It's... Definitely in the top 5 most powerful songs written. Just that feeling of being able to, no, wanting to give anything and absolutely everything to somebody to try to get them back, because it none of it means anything without them... And then they want nothing to do with any of it.. That desperation is a horrible thing for any human to have to go through.. I wish it on nobody.. Great job Trent, Johnny... |
