I try to live out this song everyday. "Blessed to be still living Trying to earn every penny that I'm gettin" To me this is a very motivating song. I hear it and chills just run down my body. "I got shot 5 times, but i'm still breathing, living proof there's a god if you need a reason" thats prophetic i think. but what really strikes me is this line: "Dear mama I'm a man now I wanna make it on my own not a hand out" I think every man can relate to this line. I am 28 years old and living on my own, which is quite difficult, but i think men in general have alot of pride to make it, and myself included, i don't help from anyone, but this is what motivates me to succeed. |

i think this is exaclty what everyone else is saying, but for me its the other way around. For me its being a guy, talking to my girl. Ive been dating my girlfriend for about a year now, and she told me that she needed a "break." Now if "break" means "break up" well then thats what it is. but the chorus really just gets me, and i wish she would listen to the chorus and think of me! Cause when i hear the whole song i think of her, but also in the part where she says "its not the same, if you don't feel it too" to me that means well if she doesn't feel the same way, then maybe it isn't going to work out. Great song! |
