| Mute Math – Odd Soul Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Lyrics from the CD: I was once a son Now I'm on my own Wade through everyone And I've got myself to show The trials and tribulations Seem to always track me down Gonna ride off into the sunset And try me another town I'm an odd soul Yes, an odd soul Walking side road Cause that's the only way I know I'm an odd soul Yes an odd soul Watch for who you know Careful what you try Everywhere I go I've still got myself to fight And if one day my child Ever wonders what is wrong I won't bat an eye when I tell her, daddy don't belong I'm an odd soul Yes, an odd soul Walking side road Cause that's the only way I know I'm an odd soul Yes an odd soul One of God's own Just trying to find a place called home I thought it said "walkin' foreign roads, cause that's the only way I know" and I'm kinda disappointed that those aren't the real lyrics, haha. Regardless, this song is amazing. I'm glad that they titled their new album with it. Such a different step from Armistice and all their other stuff. |

| Owl City – Fuzzy Blue Lights Lyrics | 15 years ago |

It's simply that he wants his former lover or ex or what have you not to just disappear from his life without some kind of goodbye or acknowledgement of him. If I was standing on the balcony And you were walking down below I'd feel rather depressed and out of place And lonely just to watch you go ^The guy sees the girl walk away, but the girl doesn't even see him. Which is why he feels assured when he was flying on a plane and she was looking at the sky, cause some how, they connected one last time. If I was flying on a plane above your town And you were gazing at the sky Somehow I'd feel intact and reassured If you began to wave goodbye |

Haha, I know it does. In any other situation besides this one, I'd be the one to tell other people to just "move on". Except for this one ofcourse. They were my favorite band, and the fact that they're changing so drastically, well I can't really grasp the idea that I won't be hearing the same kind of music from them anymore. I know it happened a long time ago, but it's affecting me now cause I can actually see the result and notice the change. I dunno, they're still good and the new album will probably grow on me, just cause I can't just completely stop liking MP, but the lack of double vocals and the different lyrical style just makes me feel like they're a whole nother band. I almost want them to change their band name, haha. But yeah. Sorry, I get emotional about the smallest things, rofl. |

They're still a tier above the rest of the bands in their genre, yeah. But they're not as unique as they used to be. Did you see the music video for this song? Don't. |

No. We can't. Well I can't anyway. I spam it at every possible opportunity =] |

| Mayday isn't as good as it was now that they don't have the Jason factor. Just sayin. | |
| Mayday Parade – Anywhere But Here Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Without Jason's genius lyrics and the Jason/Derek duo vocals, Mayday Parade has lost the spark that initially made them famous. They're still a good band, but there's nothing memorable about the Mayday Parade sound. They're just another band. |

Oh. My. Goodness. I didn't know that Jason was out of the band :( No wonder why MP just doesn't seem the same. Welp, there goes another fave band, down the drain. |

There is NO possible way that they wrote this song based on the Twilight series. I love those books, but I will kill myself if they become another band trying to get on the Twilight CD's. Leave that up to Muse, cause they're the only ones that can pull it off. Anyway...to be honest, this song disappoints me. routinexriot, I don't know where you god the idea that this song even remotely sounds like their first & best, Tales Told By Dead Friends. I just don't feel passion in this song. The lyrics are so shallow compared to their first album. There are so many cliche's in here, makes me wanna scream. They got big because of a combination of a catchy tune AND amazing lyrics. Not many rock/alternative bands can do that nowadays, and apparently they can't do it now either. Like: "and I'm so scared" "every night she cries" "say you love me". Compare those lyrics to: "And you dropped the note and we changed key You changed yourself and that changed me I really didn't see us singing through this Then you screamed the bridge And I cried the verse And our chorus came out unrehearsed Then you smiled the whole way through it I guess maybe that's what's worse" WTF IS GOING ON. I want the old Mayday Parade back :( They're turning more and more unoriginal by the second. I'm being harsh, yeah. I just don't want them to sell out to be just another boring alternative band. I want their songs to make me dance, scream, cry, feel. And so far, they're just a bunch of shallow words. |

only one other comment?! that's almost ridiculous, because this song is AMAZING. I'll say that it sounds very different from the older HHH songs, but this new sound is just fantastic. |

| The Audition – Warm Me Up Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| ScorchOurBodies, I can say that the first time that I listened to Champion, I wanted to scream my head off. I wanted to freaking beat something, it was that bad. But once I replayed the songs, they sorta rubbed off on me. Even though the style is different from Controversy Loves Company (which, btw, is still my personal preference), their songs on Champion are amazing. Not some of that cheesy crap from say, Every Avenue. Nope, these guys might be singing a different way, but you can feel the passion and emotion all the same. If you like their old album, Controversy Loves Company, I recommend Tales Told By Dead Friends, Mayday Parade's First album. If you like the songs on Champion, listen to Mayday Parade's new album, A Lesson In Romantics. so yeah, Mayday Parade and The Audition! =] | |
| Owl City – Captains and Cruise Ships Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
this song is simpy radical. easily one of my favorites by Owl City. I think Captains and Cruiseships is about two people in a relationship taking a break/exploring new options. the person "in LA" probably didn't really want to take a break, but is doing it for the sake of his partner. He stays in LA to wait for her to get back from "west palm beach", hoping that she realizes that there isn't anyone better for her out there than him. in the meanwhile, he feels lonely and lost without her. my favorite part of this song: Old captains and brand new cruise ships Sailing over the BRINY sea Wwhen I crashed my beloved desk job And swim through the DEBRIS Ill cut loose leave this mad house all for the atlantic blue Ill stroll down your treelined driveway, and sail the ocean with you. He eventually starts going crazy without her with him, so he's considering instead of waiting for her to "come back to LA", that he should go to "West Palm Beach" and make a better effort and show her that they belong together. |

| Owl City – Hello Seattle Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I feel like "Seattle" could actually represent a person. He describes how he's so comfortable and happy in Seattle, which could also mean that if "Seattle" were a lover, that he found comfort in that person and loved to be around her. The way it's described, it almost seems like him and Seattle belong together like PB&J, like you can't have one without the other. You especially get that gist in this verse: "Take me above your light Carry me through the night Hold me secure in flight Sing me to sleep tonight" I LOVE THIS SONG =] |

| Bayside – If You're Bored Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I love this song, mostly because atleast once in your life, you can relate. There are times when you just feel so useless and you feel like there's no one that can make you feel better. You're stuck trying to deal with your problems all alone because you feel no one can help you. And with no one but yourself, you decide to settle for "stupid drama" to make you feel like something's actually going on in your life. That's how I interpreted it. If you don't agree, please share your opinions nicely =] | |
