| Tool – Sweat Lyrics | 17 years ago |

it seems maynard points to the evolution of man a lot for understanding the themes of songs. use to our sweat meant we were working, and still applies tody of course, but our focuses of that sweat are labor and necessity. now, with the help of civilization, the sun is cooled, and we no longer have to hunt, we can just leisurely fish and think, and this sweat is now understanding, remembering. we are ascending thought and trying to reach conclusions. now we have the help of heavy drugs, alcohol, and other things to ascend our thought and make us work. just my say. |

| The Jimi Hendrix Experience – All Along the Watchtower (Bob Dylan cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
bob dylan is a poet, but not a musician.. he needed someone like jimi hendrix to truly represent his music. to put some color into the lyrics. i think hah in my eye its the representation of all of us. the rich who are the farthest away, the servents, and those inbetween, all in this bubble of what we think life is. its the outsiders, the jokers and thieves, who do not share this bubble and see its ugliness. ya kno, the destruction of earth, the constant fighting of man, all confusion because they cant see outside this bubble. its the outsiders that are able to connect back to the wild cat in the cold distance of society. to me. :P |
