| This seems like one of the most self-aware songs they've done. The reference to the difference between his and Panda Bear's styles is really interesting to hear. Or like the drug reference, which has never been that direct in any of their songs. Just really fascinating. I've never cared so much about the lyrics to an AC song. | |

lastdinosaur's idea is cute also, people were pondering similar artists, and I can't offer many, but Panda Bear is an awful big fan, it would seem, of the Tornados, who are worth a listen. |

Knowing nothing but guessing from the lyrics up here: Panda Bear, a.k.a. Noah Lennox, has a brother, Matt, maybe nicknamed Sport, who has plenty of artistic potential, and who really ought to open up his, open up his, open up his throat. He's young and talented and has a real good shot at making a name for himself with his music and/or singing or whatever. Reminds me of a friend or relative egging you on to go up on stage at like an open mike night or something, that like semi-jockular vibe. I mean they Avey-screamed his name, what more encouragement could you need? And then I imagine little Matt looking down at his shoe all "aww shucks you guys" and goes up and makes an album and the world probably benefits since he has the same crazy-Panda-genius blood Panda Bear has. Anyone know if Noah actually has a brother named Matt? |
