I see the "ruining lines" as scars rather than wrinkles, and possibly "dim traces of creation" as creation meaning him seeing innocence, as a baby is when first born. "if you really care then wash the feet of a beggar" seems like telling all the millionaires that if they truly want to help the world then actually do something, but also maybe a reference to Jesus? |

She said on her myspace blog that this song is about denial, someone has all this bad shit happen to her but she's laughing it off because she doesn't want to admit how much pain she is in. It's more about how things do effect the youth of today but we just don't show it, rather than how it just doesn't effect us. |

It is 100% "I said, Alice Attack" not "I said I lisp, I die" And I disagree with the birdflu/school shooting theories. It sounds to me like a memory from when she was little, they found something dead in the woods and took it home to bury it, but her parents wouldn't let her. It's a tantrum, "eyes cry", "never walk only stagger", she's stamping her feet and wants to take the thing home to bury it, but her parents are telling her no. |

I remember seeing the video for this when it first came out,and fitting the lyrics with the video I interpeted it as the nerdy boy in love with Mary. The nerdy boy is bullied extremley badly by Marys friends, and her boyfriend, Greg. When he shoots himself, everyone is shocked, Mary is extremley distressed by finding him. She finds out she is pregnant by Greg, and partly blames him for bullying the boy to commiting suicie. A few weeks later someone who also blames Greg for causing the boy to commit suicide, shoots him. This is just how I put a story to it, but basically the song meaning is What if... the white boy never killed himself? Mary didn't get pregnant? Greg didn't get shot. Looking at the lyrics and not the video, it seems the boy did not kill himself but Mary and Greg, the popular kids (she could of been a movie star, him a basketball player) "He's not invisible anymore With his baggy pants and his legs in chains" this suggests he killed the others, not himself |
