I completely agree with everyone who pointed out the obvious connections to the volatile past with Roger Waters here, no doubt. I always believed that Gilmour/Samson were going for a universal spin, as I know that for myself, I can personally relate to the entire song during my more "outcast" days, and I am sure that anyone who has had a falling-out with a good friend, a rough break-up, or have been screwed over in some form can find consolation in this song. |
