It's funny how alot of these comments is stating their opinions and then complaining about others shoving their down their throats. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Stating it doesn't mean your shoving it down somebody's throat. It just simply means you are trying to let them see the light from a different point. Whether they choose to believe or not is their choice. Pro-choice or pro-life, you gotta admit P.O.D is pretty brave and bold to just come out plainly and say this message...alot of bands don't do that for the simple fact that they don't want to loose fans and I'm sure their could also be other reasons. I think this song is about being in a relatonship with someone who is an alcoholic. This makes her upset. Awsome song! I remember I loved it, but never really looked at the lyrics, about 3 years later (today) I decided to after hearing it again. Now I been listening to it nonstop. Okay so most of us get it, it's about drugs. Bt some of the lyrics lead me to think it's about LSD, and just partying in general My confidence is leaving me on my own (all alone) -he takes drugs to get some confidence for whatever reason. The heat-stroke ridden weather -Alot of people get heat strokes after taking LSD Too many doses and I'm starting to get an attraction -Obvious, he has had one to many doses of drugs. As I adjust to my new sights -Hallucinating because of the LSD, if you ever taken it, you know exactully what it does. I kind of get the idea he has taken it during a party, therefore having a "bad trip" It's not really good to be taken in a crazy or loud place. Mental fiction follows me -Again, "mental fiction" is impossible. OUr minds are non-fiction, but I don't take this literal. I think he means he is thinking and not logically. Having crazy thought patterns/hallucinating. Out from the window see her backdrop silhouette. -Because he has killed her, he now has to come up with some story as to why she is dead, because he is held responsible, so he decides to drop her down from a window (maybe a few stories high) and lie to everyone and say that is how she died. Okay so my interpretation is about the whole series, not just Twilight, but with all four books together. Might not be exactully what it is about, but it's MY VIEW, and just certain scene the pop up in my mind when I hear the lyrics. BTW, good band+good book=Awsome! | During world War 2, they had many propagandas trying to convince others to join the army, and to support the war ect. One of the many were "loose lips sink ships" So, the U.S was scared that spies were over in the United States trying to gain information, therefore, they pretty much told them,keep your mouth shut, because if you reveal any secrets more ships could be sunk by the saying "loose lips sink ships" and although I don't think this song is about war, it just means if you talk to much (Lie) you can cause a hell lot of trouble. And he was really upset, and i think it's a relationsship considering he says "baby" Than towards the end he kind of slows down and say okay scream my name out and just show me you still care. | |
