Vary rare is it that sex results in a baby (thank you, birth-control), but frequently results in male ejaculation (though that's not necessarily the finish line). I totally, totally! agree with what battleofny said. I love to think that we are "creatures of love" in such a frustrating and sad world. So I definitely think that "creatures of love" refers to people as well as what I said previously. That "sex is viewed negatively" point: I know! What is going on here? America is a hormonal adolescent. It can't seem to stop thinking about sex but is repressed and terribly ashamed and ignorant as well. That silly abstinence-only education sure isn't helping matters, either. Attention high-schoolers: two methods of birth control, one must be a condom. Get tested. Have your partner get tested (go together, bond!) Remember that many STI's are treatable and as harmless (and sometimes as common, see herpes) as the common cold. Talk about it! Laugh about it! The first step to releasing sex from the realms of the taboo is communication. You're a creature of love. |
