| Kids in Glass Houses – Pillow Talk Lyrics | 17 years ago |

this song is about voter apathy and general disregard for action and consequence. there are references to empty promises and plans in the first verse. all talk and no action. 'swimming in a sea that's never been so close to me' could be about climate change and rising sea levels. i think the chorus is directed at the people in charge and in government. particularly the extended second chorus which talks about rehashed policies and little change or progression. the second verse is a clear reference to voting (tick a box / it's just a square). |

aled has remained pretty tight lipped about this song and claims its 'personal'. it seems notably sad and hopeless in tone and might be about losing someone and not being able to do anything about it. 'god won't show' is one of the many references to god on the album, and again questions his presence, existence or role. |

this is apparently about the 'war on terror' and the irresponsible and indifferent attitude that the current regime have towards freedoms and war. there is a distinct impression that soldiers were brainwashed and were fighting a war they did not want or understand. i think the reference to fame, arrogance and audacity in the chorus reflects on america's position as world leader and the amount of tv coverage the war received - bordering on glamourization. at the same time, there seems to be an opposing force saying that 'mistakes' have been made in the country's name. i think 'her' refers to lady liberty, a bit of a tongue in cheek reference that aled also used in historia, given the theme of the song. |

| Kids in Glass Houses – Girls Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| this song is about hangers on and people who live by association. by people, obviously they mean girls who attach themselves with bands just to be seen and revered. aled has said that he doesn't much care for or understand the mentality of girls who hang around bands just to be near them and seen. again, it refers to the fickle surrounding that come with being in a band, a common factor in aled's song. | |
| Kids in Glass Houses – Dance All Night Lyrics | 17 years ago |

this song is a dig at a record label who screwed the band around before they signed with roadrunner. it's about the band being frustrated at being pulled back and forth and, ultimately, just persevering with their main reason for being in the band: playing shows and enjoying it. the second verse is about how fickle the music industry is and how it is, by and large, run by people who have no love for music or real clue. |
