ok so i read all these comments just to see if anyone interpreted it the same as me so i know this is probably wrong butit may help some in the same situation as me , the day my brother left for iraq this song came on to me and to me it is an older soldier who has been there for awhile tlaking to a new soldier. Looking for something I've never seen Alone and I'm in between The place that I'm from and The place that I'm in A city I never been I found a friend or should I say a foe Said there's a few things you should know We don't want you to see We come and we go Here today, gone tomorrow. this is the new soldier in a new place all alone and he meets a bitter older soldier who he doesnt knwo whether to trust and how the soldier is explainin dont trust me or build a relationship because there is a good chance of me not making it to tomorrow. idk i just always think of my brother holding the world up liek the lyric whenever i hear it . |
