I loved this song the first time i heard it... I think its a man who has just kind of lost his view on life, maybe he is going through a mid life crisis/depression. He has lost sight of the child within himself. This is where i think its a little different... most of the song is his wife talking to him, trying to tell him that he is not who he used to be because he is too worried about the struggles of life. I think that this is evident in the lines... "you better smile when i say because im smiling whenever you're nearby, well i guess you dont make a big deal out of anything anymore" (he has lost his love of life). The end is her saying that all his things (his personality and interests) are gone. Such a beautiful song |

| the song seems to be about a relationship that has fallen apart, either naturally or because of an uncontrollable reason. The man feels like he is "overboard" with all the issues that were caused by the breakup. The second verse talks about how the man hears that she is doing fine and that her life is starting to become what she always wanted it to be. (Flown all those planes that have been on your mind). This causes him to feel even worse since her life seems to be going better without him in it. Great song | |
