I cannot believe that no one has commented yet. This song has only been recorded live so far. But it is amazing. Christofer Drew has stated on his myspace that this song is about an incident that occured when he was 16- he was kicked out of his church. Ever since then he has questioned organized religion, and this is his representation of that. That he has Jesus in his heart, but not nessicarily the way some people do. Beautiful song. Love it and him. |

This song is one of my all time favorite songs. It's incredible. The power is intense and the lyrics are something I can relate to so much it's unreal. Every line just touches me so much. It's definitely about possibly, Satan's hold on a person, as well as that person wanting to control their own life instead of letting God's will take place. But the chorus is just an outcry of letting go and asking God to take control, and for Him to help in letting go of old ways and mistakes, and helping someone become new again, Reborn. And the ending 'Its not to late, to leave it all behind.' Is wonderful, because of its truth. It doesn't matter if you are a 16 year old with a troubled past or a 60 year old with a hurtful past, because it's never to late to let God take control and for you to love Him and to let His will take place within your life. It's not to late to leave your pain and mistake behind. I really love this song. |

The was the B-Side to the vinyl of 'First Day of My Life'. Anyways, I think some of the lyrics are clever and some arent so much. Bu either way, I'm a big Bright Eyes fan, and I do like the majority of their music. Sometimes, Conor just needs to sort out some things to produce something utterly fantastic. |
