| Hey Rosetta – Yes, Yes, Yes Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Ahah! I never much liked this song, but in the middle when the darker voice is talking in the background, he recites to lyrics to "Go Henry" and I just love it! Perhaps it's the artist reminding himself that he's grown, that he's changing. | |

Taken from my friend: The song's about not knowing what love is, really. "If you're screaming at the drain for days, you know it's love" It's talking about if you're really upset over a relationship because it goes down the drain then you know it's love. But the last line is "You know it's love if you beg for it to stop" It's contradicting itself, so you really don't know what love is. |

In the "Radio Show" version of this song there is one key difference. He reveals some of the mumbled part! (Personally I think it's meaningless but...) Wha, what is wrong with the world today? "What is wrong with the world today; I've never seen a----mumbles" Or something along those lines, like I'd never thought I'd see, Or something else. Just get the radio show and back me up people! On the live version of the song the lyrics change. Original: "You start a conversation you can't even finish it You're talkin' a lot, but you're not sayin' anything When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed Say something once, why say it again?" From album "The Name of the Band is Talking Heads" "I passed out hours ago I'm sadder then you'll ever know I close my eyes on this sunny day Say something once, why say it again?" |

I hate to be a noob, but at alexboy, I think you're wrong in you lyrics. "Je me lance, vers la gloire" translates to "I throw myself towards glory." I feel it has a more direct emotion than "going" Say, falling from a 30 story building compared to "I'm going toward the ground" And perhaps it's a matter of personal opinion or maybe it's because I'm not so great at English grammar, but for "Ce que j'ai fais, ce soir la" I would say "What I did that night" because that is like "What she said that night" :) Have a nice day everyone. Sincerely, TedM |

| David Byrne – They Are In Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I have a couple views on this song. To start, it is a beautiful song. The first view I'd like to share is the use of "they" in the song. Because "they" can be viewed in two different meanings. "They" can mean the general public, or the two individuals in love themselves. And whose to say that "This town" doesn't mean on of the people in love. He could be in love with a buch of berries. But that's unlikely. After the line "Only love lets me forget who I really am" David replaces "They" with Me, or Us. So perhaps the entire beginning can be switched backwards. Think on it will you? |
