I've never been sure of this song. Nevermind - in my opinion is Nirvana's weakest album. Guess that's what mainstream appeal does to me! Anyway, this song is about Dylan Carlson. Lead singer of the band Earth, and was Kurt's best friend. He bought Kurt's shot gun that eventually killed him. |

This is probably the most emotional song you could ever hear. I just think it's about the world ending, and that could be related to anything ending (like a life or a relationship etc.) I so wish they'd made a video to this, it would of been amazing. You could just imagine the band playing this with like the world ending around them. It's so incredible. I definetly prefer the EP version. The one on Grand Unification is still good though. This song means alot to me, It probably saved my life last year as I feel I can relate alot to it. Not too sound emo or anything but it is a life saver to me. To me, It's basically about having a girlfriend or lover constantly argue with you: "You can burn it all. I'm running around the table, If you want to, Just to argue all the last scenes of us." and they threaten to leave you, and because you've had enough of arguing you don't care. and you're infact glad to see them go: "You can end it all. I'm sorry enough to tell you, That I'm okay and I'm never going to see you again." And basically Charlie is saying he's "just not sure it's gonna work". "That barrel is loaded, so go and paint your target" Is that this girl is just gonna do it again to someone else every time. Like she's targeting a new victim. and everything just hapens again for her and again she ends up "falling" "So and again you stand around, With beautiful falls." |

This song is amazing. I think this is the only Fightstar song that Alex sings by himself all the way through. To me it's about someone who's between life and death..possibly after being shot. I get that froim: "It goes cold with a gunshot To be here it still feels nice I grow old after one shot" He's in bliss after the pain of being shot...and it feels nice. I'm probably way out from what the band want the song to be about, but that's how I see it. |
