This song brings to mind a dinosaur that is trapped in a old school video game yelling out at times, and then is reminiscent of the music from the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past at others. It can also hear the whole sexual energy thing, yet it seems to have a primal and desparate quality. |

I have experimented with acid twice and both times I have found my self listening to the album loveless incessantly. To say the least it literally felt as though cum was dripping out of my ears while listening to this song in particular. Anyway, after such a fantastic time I felt obligated to investigate the lyrical content of MBV, in addition to throwing in my own interpretation of it as necessary.
This song is sung from the perspective of someone hoping to hook the candy of their eye. The lyrics suggest that they would like to dive into the relationship and hold on. For some reason, perhaps from observing other relationships and previous experiences, they are certain that their desired relationship, once kindled, will be incredibly sweet for a time, long enough at least for the bond to solidify, but inevitably will become insipid. |
