I agree with the ones who said it's about a long distance relationship, and with the ones who said that you can make it fit your own situation. I'm usually a rock fan, but I heard this song every day on the looped tape in the office I worked in, and it made me miss my interstate boyfriend so much I would cry. Especially the line: "and though I can't be with you tonight, know my heart is by your side". He broke up with me not long after I got on a plane for the first time and travelled alone to go and see him for a weekend, and gave me no reason. We still talk (3 years later), he still can't explain why he ended it, but he admits he'd be jealous if I got close to someone else, as he knows I am when he tells me he's going to ask some girl out. He told me he wanted me to have his babies :( |
