Norma Jean – Murphy Was An Optimist Lyrics 17 years ago
"Light that fuse, back up three steps and bite down on that bullet.
You've been doing this for way too long and it can't be fixed.
Don't worry it can't be fixed so pull up that chair and suck down that trouble.
Misery is the fuel that keeps this broken down, lifeless instrument running."

-This section is talking about someone purposely destroying themselves out of misery (by substance abuse or whatever, it doesnt matter.) The person has been hurting themselves out of pain for a while now, and has accepted that theyre ruined as it is, and they cant be helped. So the more misery that comes from their life, the more they'll drown themselves in substance.

"Hold me down till i stop crying. I don't want to feel this anymore.Hold you down cause you're not trying. I don't want to feel this anymore. I don't want to kill you anymore. Is this what you were designed for? Did you think that you had it coming? Hell follows with you."

-I think in this passage, the singer could be talking to the substance itself. He wants the pain to be taken away by the drug, but is noticing its not a permanent solution to the hurt. So i think he decides that he doesnt want to hurt himself any more, and notices that all the substance is doing is bringing more pain.

Norma Jean – Opposite Of Left And Wrong Lyrics 17 years ago
"Dedication is nothing but a word. What have we become?
We became the things we do. When does it end?"

-This section is talking about how people call themselves things, but when it comes down to it, people are only judged by what they do, not say.

"Argument is the enemy. You've said one hundred opposites of left and wrong.
So tell me what's right, not what's wrong.
I don't care anymore. I'm drained from this struggle.
Argument is the enemy. I don't care anymore; I'm giving this up."

-I think this part is talking about how people will argue over trivial things, and will try to avoid talks of what is actually "right" by playing word games to be politically "correct", not talking about the direct subject of whats "right". The person talking is sick of all the meaningless talking going on, and is done listening to it.

"There is no rehab for your power addiction and I've had all the freedom that i can stand.
Tell me what's right."

-This is talking about people in charge doing and saying everything they can so EVERYONE gets the freedom they want and will follow the people telling them what they want to hear. The person talking is sick of all the meaningless freedom and wants to hear straightforward what is actually right.

Norma Jean – And There Will Be A Swarm Of Hornets Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this song is in reference to someone who has strayed far from where he thought he was going, and as he looks at the life that he's currently leading he realizes that it's nothing more than destruction and ruin. He says that he'll destroy the life he's created, and he'll start again.

The second paragraph:
"String me up, just leave me here and I'll find my way back home i swear.
These are not the plans i made. This is not the life i wanted" is stating that where he is is still far from where he's been, but if given the chance, he'll still be able to make it back to his home, or back to his life before it was ruined

The third paragraph has a much more negative aspect on his situation, he looks at himself as "ruined" from the mistakes he's made, but he'll still try to go home.

"What you cant pull from me, pull from yourself". I think what he's saying here is that he doesn't have enough left of himself to be used, and that whatever or whoever was in his life of destruction should just go and tear themselves apart the way they did to him.

"With blood stained glasses string straight at me and just careless.
With that lidless gaze I am ruined. I need to be saved." The "blood stained glasses" could be symbolism for any number of things, but I take it as something that he sees that was ruined from his destructive life, and by seeing it he notices that he needs to be saved from where he is, not just run from it.

Norma Jean – Birth Of The Anti Mother Lyrics 17 years ago
Stevo, i think its referring to how the person speaking is trying to find the strength to resist another lie (or any other form of sin) from satan, but its such a difficult task that he would rather die then face it again.
