| Aerosmith – Janie's Got A Gun Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I've never heard a song with music more fitting for the lyrics. Everything fits. I love it. | |

| "Remember to always think twice." Haha. Great advice. This is one of my favorite MJ songs. Next to "Beat it." | |
| OutKast – Roses (feat. Big Boi) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| My favorite Outkast song. I knew lots of girls like this in college...I tried to avoid them, but there were so many, it was VERY difficult. | |
| The Toys – A Lover's Concerto Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Just a love song to the tune of Bach's Minuet. I particularly like the key changes in this song at the end. | |

It sounds to me like it's a guy that thinks his girlfriend is holding him back from success. Maybe they both work in fast food or something and get drunk every night, and have fun, but are basically going nowhere. And he feels like it's time to move on to bigger and better things. The lines that speak the most to me are: "Anyone that needs what they want, and doesn't want what they need, I want nothing to do with." Sounds like he's fed up with the current lifestyle of partying and irresponsibility, and wants to make a better, more meaningful life for himself. Then he says, "And to do what I want and to do what I please, is first on my to-do list." Sounds like he is putting himself before her for the first time. And then, later: "But every once in a while, I think about her smile, one of the few things I do miss." Sounds like he isn't regretting his decision, but he still does miss her and their good times together. It's pretty obvious he still loves her. And these lines at the end of the song: "May my love lift you up to the place you belong. I'm going on. And I promise I'll be waiting for you." It sounds as if he's waiting for her to finally mature and realize she needs to do something with her life, just like he did, and when she does realize it, he'll gladly take her back. Ever been in a relationship where you felt like there is no progress? I'm thinking of a guy that just graduated college and can't figure out to do with his life, so he just puts it on hold and has fun in the meantime, but eventually realizes he needs to make something of himself. That's what I think this song is about. |
