This song is brilliant and the lyrics definitely "is too close to the bone". The meaning is pretty straightforward, a girl who has daddy issues. She has self esteem issues because of that and gets high to feel confident. She dates guys that aren't good enough for her or abuses her. I'm pretty sure the song is from another guy's perspective, a good guy that can see through her facade. A guy that wonders whether she does or does not love him, will or will not love him. A guy that probably wants to save her. and I agree with thelostriots on the chorus part, "her love can go from person to person with no real sense of belonging or true attachment". |
