You can't listen to this song without feeling your own mortality, if that makes sense to anyone but me, haha. "Time will turn us into statues, eventually," is the line that definitely strikes me. You will die, inevitably, and what you are will be indefinitely as you are remember, there will be no more room for changing (ie. in stone). And fishstick_kitty, I think you need to learn how to appreciate a little variation. This song is incredible, no matter whether it's by the Foo Fighters or Elton John. Typecasting limits the playing field way too much. |
