i always thought this song was "god" talking to "the devil" ex:"..i provide the puppet...you provide the strings."="god" makes man while "the devil" pulls our strings, but viewed through a different filter it seems it may be about being infatuated ex: "temptation of indulgence" might be lust could be the man is the puppet and the woman pulls his strings. |
