| Norma Jean – Bayonetwork: Vultures In Vivid Color Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Knives don't have hilts or a guard. Also they have single edges. So it would be more accurate if you said sword or dagger. I hope I don't come off sounding like a jerk. |
|
| Norma Jean – Cemetery Like a Stage Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I love the "all colors come rushing back" and "were broken here" because it reminds me of this articale I read about how men are broken (figuratively) , because we push our selves hard, achieving great accomplishments but were still broken and not happy, sad and scarred. But when we face our demons instead of running from them life seems new and fresh again. Kind of weird cause the person they were using as an exsample in the articale kept on pushing himself to run more, he was a competator and ran. Anyways became happy by facing his demons or whatever and he said that color seemed to be more vibrante now that he was happy. Makes me think of the line "Colors come rushing back" | |
| Norma Jean – Murphy Was An Optimist Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Suck down on that sorrow? I think its "Sulk", which makes more sence. | |
| Norma Jean – Murphy Was An Optimist Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I was listen to this song and thinking about the title. I then it hit me, Murphys Law. So I agree with burncide. | |
| Killswitch Engage – Reject Yourself Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I can't really see how the booklet to this album would have to deal with the devil. To me it looks more like symbolic of life and death. Part of the face looks like its not decayed as would have been in death, while the other part is just a bare skull which represents death. I to think this is there best song on the album. Just a awesome song about helping those who are unfortunate. About putting others before us, helping those without shelter or food. People like those in third-world countries and at home. Poverty sucks. | |
| Rise Against – The Good Left Undone Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Did anyone think this song could be using symbolism? | |
| Flogging Molly – (No More) Paddy's Lament Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| The song is about excepting what Ireland has become. Things are well there, better then they have been. Why ruin a good thing with constant fighting? The Prods and Cathys have been fighting for centurys so they should stop now, no more blood. | |
| Norma Jean – You Know Who's Seatbelt Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Dylan167 Norma Jean doesnt shove there religoin in anyones face. If you don't like what they have to say then don't listen to the band then. | |
| Darkest Hour – Closing on the Day Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think this is a song of losing someone who you didnt really get to know but wish you did. Like they passed away an now its to late to try an reach out to them, try to get become closer to that person. Mainly because there person in the song was distant an just never made the effort or tried to get to know the person better. | |
| D'espairsRay – Forbidden(English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song is pretty cool. | |
| Dir En Grey – Ain't Afraid To Die (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I always get confuzed by this song simply for the fact that It seems to be from the point of view of someone who died but it doesnt make sence. So when reading it again it sounds more like from the view of someone who passed and is watching someone they love, that is still alive. | |
| Dir En Grey – Ain't Afraid To Die (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| So? Its still a beautiful, well played song. | |
| Gazette – Filth in the Beauty (English lyrics) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
The song is called "Filth in beauty". It speaks for itself dont you think? Its talking about how people give into lust. How there is so much unfortunate glamour and fashion. |
|
| Gazette – Leech Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| And the girls voices fits fine and well in this song, not like the song Filth in Beauty. | |
| Gazette – Leech Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| What are you talkiing about. Its "I'm nobody without you". Come on, its in engrish. | |
| Dir En Grey – Glass Skin (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Well the song can mean anything to anyone but Kyo's already said "Glass Skin’s lyrics seem to be captured as a love song, but it really isn’t like that. If I were to put in a phrase, it’s about environmental problems without being too preachy, the deterioration, the evanescence; I wanted to express these qualities. I don’t want to get preachy or sing positively. It’s more of “having something positive within something that’s not positive.” I have that as my foundation. The view you see is different with something born from nothing comparing to seeing and creating something from destruction." -taken from http://hitorizu.livejournal.com/17257.html |

| Maximum The Hormone – Koi No Mega Lover Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| These arnt the lyrics. | |
| Dir En Grey – Ware, Yami Tote (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
There was one like that stuck out to me in this song for some reason, maybe because I thought the heart doesnt have hands but anyway I think I get what its trying to say now. "Please give my heart something, anything like a blade sharp enough to strike you" In first examanation it sounds like he wants to hurt somebody but the comma is where I noticed it sounded like a second sentence. Meaning, he wants to be stabbed, or his heart to hurt. "Anything like a blade to sharp enough to strike you." He's saying basically anything thats good enough to hurt the other person, is good enough to hurt himself. So what I think he is getting at is that he wants to be stabbed by the other person. Kyo is really good with word play. |

| Dir En Grey – Vinushka (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I LOVE how in Gaika, Chinmoku ga Nemuru Koro, Red Soil, Vinushka how he goes berserk and starts making gargling noises. It like a mix between being suffocated, drowned, and trying to get enough air in your lungs because all week you've been eatting at Mc'Donalds. | |
| Dir En Grey – Vinushka (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I did the same thing. WITH ALL THE SONGS ON THE ALBUM! lol So I sent my work in but apperently they where reconstructing the site at the time an never got them. D: ALL that work for nothin'. lol |
|
| Dir En Grey – Red Soil (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I have to disagree. It can't be "prosatution to the kids who listen" because it says 'in from the right ear an out the left"? If it goes in one ear and out the other that means there not listen. Like the saying "In one ear and out the other." You cant even intertain and idea or thought. One reason is because it sounds more like he talking about how a government operates and power circling? People chaseing after power? |
|
| Dir En Grey – Red Soil (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think your wrong, not be so blunt but I have noticed a trend of people saying(including myself) such and such song by Diru is about religion, that just seems to easy to say. Kyo writes complex songs based on feelings, not so much critizism. One, the whole cd has buddhist(or was it hindu?) tones to it. Two, I dont know if anyone has noticed but Kyo prays. I wouldnt be surprised if Kyo was buddhist. I think the song is more about how a government opperates. |

| Dir En Grey – Inconvenient Ideal (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I dont know, but the ending lines make it sound like a whole subject thats personal. | |
| Dir En Grey – Toguro (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Anyone notice "Reality, entertainment,"? Like entertainment on the TV. Those realitiy TV shows? Reality-entertainment, sounds like Kyo tried to put it as one word. Sounds like he is talk about celebs a lil. |
|
| Dir En Grey – Toguro (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
ichigo900 has a point. I looked up and seen the line "The loser human drifts on forever". Like he saying that the weaker humans are killing off the ones that can adapt so the weaker ones are all thats left. I bet the weaker ones are celebs or corparations who have all the money to do what they want with it while the stronger ones, those who dont have much work hard for there the lil money they get. Which makes them stronger because they can work harder. Sounds lame I know but I sorta half-assed my interepertation. |
|
| Dir En Grey – Reiketsu Nariseba Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Actually it was influacned by buddhism, which dOES come from India. But Kaoru did say the album was going to have a religouse tone to it, hence the design of the album an what not. |

| Gackt – Tsuki no Uta [English] Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Tsuki No Uta Song of the Moon. This song is so beautiful. How come people havnt already wrote on it yet? Anyways he is longing for the love of his ex, "I keep waiting for you though the hands of my watch have stopped" "I believed we'd always be together unchanging Once more, like I did at that time, I want to love you" |
|
| Dir En Grey – Zomboid (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think its from Kyos personal experience. I mean COME ON, every band writes about personal expericnesl. It is know Kyo has had surgery on his throat before, so have you read the lyrics to "C" and "GLASSSKIN"? Anyways I think its easy to seperate the songs that Kyo wrote from taking the forms of other characters from Kyos songs about his thoughts, life, and whatnot. |

| Darkest Hour – Full Imperial Collapse Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
The name kind gives it away don't you think? I think he is talking about America in genrel (I love my country, don't get me wrong but there is things that need to be changed) and the way it works itself. The song is just like "Sadist Nation" "Call it our nature or call it what you will Automatic, trapped in the undercurrent Presumed an unstoppable force Through the ages spilled onto pages" This right here is basically refering to how its human nature to try and rule over others. How its "automatic", that we just do things according to human nature and habit, and we are "trapped" in our ways. The nation is presumed an unstoppable force because its so succesful, and its written in textbooks, history books "pages". "Shine on you nonbelievers You can call it colossal upheaval When we wake up from our induced slumber They can try, but they can’t conquer us all!' Now he is telling those who believe it not to be an "unstoppable force" to "shine on" and not give into its imperialistic might. He can also be refering to two things. one being if they some how defeat the empire it would be an colossal upheaval to the empire its self. or as when the people "wake up" an see that the empire is a threat to there normal daily life, so now that they've realized there look on things has been changed and that can be called a "colossal upheaval" in itself. So when they "wake" up from there "induced slumber" they can take measures into protecting themselves. I guess the empire itself induced them, the people. Now they believe its impossiable for the impire to "conquer" them all because they have woken up. "Compelling evidence out in the open There’s not even anybody to hide it from What it looks like on the outside constantly reflects How we perceive it and it’s not always what you think" I think what it is trying to say here that the Imperial nation which is trying not to seem like one, can't hide the facts, and that it has shown its real intentions to everyone. Then I guess its saying something like how it "looks like on the outside constantly reflects" what we are aware of, or recognize, though thats not always the case. "Knee deep in the belly of the beast offering us Another cut-rate version of your dream come true" This is a powerful line. Johan in the bible was swallod by a whale. This could be the case in this line. It does have a biblical refrences to other things. Ether way it lets us know that we are not in a good position and its not quit what we had hoped for or imagind. |

| Darkest Hour – The Light at the Edge of the World Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Why would he want to put the complete poem up here? This is a site about songs right? Anyways this song is really beautiful an awesome song. | |
| Papa Roach – Tightrope Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
What he is doing in this song is he is calling out to society, he wants people to wake up and see that there the cause for all there problems yet the can change it, and create a better place for everyone to live. " My words are weapons In which I murder you with " He is telling them to be responisable for the things they've done to others like picking on kids to drive them into getting hand guns and shooting up some school. "I speak of madness My heart and soul I cry for people who ain't got control Lets take our sanity Lets take compassion And be responsible for every reaction" "And again and again and again And it happens again and again and again" Now below he is talking about that there is no other option except for change, how you handle the situation. He's telling people if they stopped picking on kids, this wouldn't happen and the world would be a better place. Then he asks are we headed to no progress. Because no one wants to hear, or listen to people who harmed them and treat them with compassion so obviouly the other option is being noncompassnate which does nothing for the kids who werent treaded with compassion in the first place, and its is a vicouse circle that is on going. Then he calls out for people to whatever hurt that has caused them, to forget it, have compassion to those who hurt you because they've been hurt to. "There's no beginning there is no end there is only change Progression backwards Is this where we are heading Take back your soul Forget your emptiness" |

| Papa Roach – Binge Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| No, your not dumb Mosh-courtney. Everyone has songs like that they can relate or how someone could put something into words themselfs can't. I have some songs like that to actually. | |
| Dir En Grey – Dozing Green (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"Mesmerized by those eyes with bugs crawling on them" - I think the writer has just stumbled apon a deadbodie with bugs crawling on its eyes, like flys laying maggots in decaying bodies so they can have eat when there born. That would be a startleing sight and I think that is why the writer is "mezmerized". "my breathing stops" - lhe's holding his breathe, kind of like when your going down the highway and car window is down and the air is blowing in your face really hard and fast and you can't breathe. Yeah like that but because you just came across something you would never imaging coming cross in your life time. "My heart calms itself" So he's heart is pumping really fast because well, HE did just come across a deadbodie, So hes trying to calm himself down. You would be scared to if you came across a corpse on the very same day you just happen to decide to take a walk outside because the weather was nice. "My slashed heart dances, and I question in vain" - This makes me think that his heart is wounded by the sight, broken hearted because its tragic and he questions why this sort of thing happen to this person in "vain" because a popular disney ride reminds us "Dead Men Tell No Tells", unless you can get it back to a CSI lab. "The white voice, the leaking of the breath in the sun" - This right here is personification of the sun. The sun is a person, and its leaking breath bscause its talking, it is the white voice. Fluorecent lamps, White LEDs, and the midday sun cast "white" light. So we also know that it is midday. "The obscene exposure of the wound" - It could be on the dead/dying body that the writer has found, the one that caused whoever that is dying to die, I think it could be because of bleeding to death. "Disappears into nothing, " - Maybe he is just continueing to question himself so much that he forgets that there is a wound on the body, because he is not lost deep in his own thoughts. "the wind of dogma" - He might comeback from his own thoughts to again face the harsh reality, that this person is dead/dying. I guess just facing the harsh fact. "Your melting heart" Makes me believe the again that the dead/dying person is dead/dying because a wound to the heart, bleeding to death. "The dark morning, echoing goodbye" - It is a "dark morning" because he has come upon a tragdy, and its still all setting in, becoming apparent what happend. "My slashed heart dances, and I question in vain" - Just as I wrote before. "I just want to be alone right now" - he wants to be alone because it makes him think, why WE do this to eachother, ourselves, and also to our LOVED ONES. I ONLY SAY THIS BECAUSE One could see how this could also be about an ex lover/love because he brokes own heart and his/her lovers heart with maybe breaking up with that person or just cutting ties with a loved one. "A single season of spring," - Sort of tells us the setting and the last season, spring the victim well ever witness because he is dead/dying. "even the tearful neck and you crawling the earth" - The neck could be all that is left of the head so far because of the decaying process. Kind of gross when you think about it, but the bugs that where on the dead body ate it. So its in the stomaches of those bugs that crawl the earth, is the victim. So you could say he is crawling the earth. "Love Me" - Just kind of it teaches in the bible to love one another. Also like why do we hurt the ones we love. Like this qoute is fitting in understanding the line more. "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers."- Francois Fenelon "Abandon Hope" - I think Kyo is saying this because he feels that its just a waste of time of hoping for change in people because people will always hurt eachother even if they are family, lovers, or someone close. |

Whoops, I made a typo in the first paragraph. * he's NOT dead yet. |
|
| Dir En Grey – Dozing Green (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Artwork = Deadbody/skeleton that looks like its decaying. Title = Dozed Green, Dozed would be to sleep, as in going to sleep, some writers use the word sleep to mean death, in this case the author is "dozing off", meaning he is in the process of going to sleep. So if we look it at symbolicly, it means that he (I think a soldier) is dying but he's dead yet. Also green reminds me of fungi, which helps clean up places by eating dead things so fungi could be eating/growing on a deadbody which kind of looks like it in the single artwork. Music Video = If you havnt seen the video yet look it up on youtube. The video shows scenes from the past, deadbodies, dying, war, just stuff that is horrible that we infflict upon eachother. Kyo is also known for his wordplay and kanji. So I could see how there would be two stories in this, one of someone experencing there very own death and/or someone whos stumbled on a dead bodie. |
|
| Dir En Grey – Dozing Green Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Anyways, if you seen the artwork for these single and the music video and read the lyrics then it sounds like war. Like a soldier, is dying or decaying. The art cover looks just like someone is decaying. The title also reminds me of fungus, or fungi, and it gets rid of dead material, so i this case could be a dead body on the battlefield. Anyways, thats just what I see. |
